The iLearn Institute at Lenoir City Schools’ Summer School Program allows both middle and high school students to earn credits virtually in a variety of subject areas. Summer School allows middle school students to get a jump on the high school credits. Middle school students are limited to the selection of one course during the summer session. All courses must be completed by July 29th. Please check with your guidance counselor prior to registering for a summer course to make sure you choose appropriate courses to meet your future goals in high school.
By enrolling in summer school, both parents and students agree that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following:
- I have read the Parent / Student Handbook of the iLearn Institute at Lenoir City Schools and understand that if my child is allowed to work independently during any school session (summer, nine weeks or semester), the school system and myself will share supervision responsibilities for monitoring to make sure he/she is logging in and completing all assignments as required in keeping with the pace prescribed in each course.
- I understand that the cost for a virtual course is $83 per half credit course, and $158 per full credit course, payable to Lenoir City Schools.
- I have read the school policies and procedures of the iLearn Institute at Lenoir City Schools and understand that if I am allowed to work independently during any school session (summer, nine weeks or semester), I will be responsible for attending an orientation session with my teacher, logging in and completing all assignments as required in keeping with the pace prescribed in each course.
- I understand that the last day to enroll in a virtual course is five school days from the first day of the semester, and that the last day to drop a virtual course is one week after the first day of the semester.
- I understand that if I fail a virtual course I will not be allowed to take another virtual course in the future.
- I understand that the last day to obtain a refund for a virtual course is exactly one week from the first school day of the semester.
