Summer School

  • Summer School Banner

Summer School Registration will close on May 17th.  Any student who wishes to register for a course beyond this date will have to wait for Fall and register for a credit advancement course at that time.  Fall registration typically begins in July.

The iLearn Institute at Lenoir City Schools’ Summer School Program allows both middle and high school students to earn credits virtually in a variety of subject areas. Summer School allows high school students to free up room in their schedules for additional electives or recover credits that they may have failed in previous semesters.  Please check with your school counselor before registering for courses to make sure they fit your future goals.

By enrolling in summer school, both parents and students agree that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following:

  • I have read the Parent / Student Handbook of the iLearn Institute at Lenoir City Schools and understand that if my child is allowed to work independently during any school session (summer, nine weeks or semester), the school system and myself will share supervision responsibilities for monitoring to make sure he/she is logging in and completing all assignments as required in keeping with the pace prescribed in each course.
  • I understand that the cost for a virtual course is $83 per half credit course, and $158 per full credit course, payable to Lenoir City Schools.
    • All payments must be made online through the payment portal which can be found by clicking on the Online Payments tab at the top of the website.
  • I have read the school policies and procedures of the iLearn Institute at Lenoir City Schools and understand that if I am allowed to work independently during any school session (summer, nine weeks or semester), I will be responsible for attending an orientation session with my teacher, logging in and completing all assignments as required in keeping with the pace prescribed in each course.
  • I understand that if I fail a virtual course I will not be allowed to take another virtual course in the future.
  • I understand that the school district will not refund any course fees once the student has completed the course registration.
