Driver's License & Certificate of Compulsory School Attendance (SF-1010)

In accordance with Tennessee law, students applying for or maintaining a Tennessee driver license or learner permit must meet state attendance and academic requirements. Eligible students may request a Certificate of Compulsory School Attendance (SF-1010) through the iLearn office. The certificate is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued during the school year.

To receive an SF-1010, students must:

• Meet Tennessee compulsory school attendance requirements.
• Meet the academic requirements established by Tennessee law for driver licensing eligibility.

Students who no longer meet the state's attendance or academic requirements may be reported to the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security as required by law, which may affect their driving privileges. Students who later regain eligibility may apply for reinstatement in accordance with state procedures.
