Thank you for your interest in the iLearn Institute at Lenoir City Schools.  This is a pre-registration form to express interest in enrollment this fall at the Ilearn Institute at Lenoir City Schools.  We will issue a more formalized application process later this summer but this will allow you to reserve your spot for fall enrollment.

Students, please get your parents permission before completing this form.  We will have live virtual question and answer sessions later in the spring. to provide you with detailed information regarding virtual learning this fall.

Students who enroll:

  • Grades: Poor grades may indicate that students will struggle with a more independent learning environment, and a thorough review of the student’s academic file will be conducted to assess the student’s performance as well as their academic needs moving forward. All students in K-12th grade will be evaluated each semester.  Students should maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 at the high school level or an A / B average in grades K-8.
  • Attendance: The student should have no more than five unexcused absences and not become truant.
  • Elementary and Middle School students should score proficient on the previous years state assessment in English Language Arts and Math.  Students who are too young to take a state assessment will be evaluated based upon an iReady diagnostic screening test.
  • The student should stay on-pace to graduate, with the designated graduation cohort, in 4 years and a summer.
  • Students who recieve notice that they will no longer be allowed to attend the virtual school have the right to appeal that decision. Anyone who would like an appeal should make that request to the iLearn Administrator within 48 hours of receiving notice of denial of admission. In these cases, a panel consisting of an iLearn Administrator and teacher will work alongside other Lenoir City Schools personnel to review any documentation submitted by the family to support enrollment.
